What is the “spring quality” of Japanese hot springs?

Japanese hot springs are broadly classified into 10 types (simple hot springs + 9 types of therapeutic springs) based on their ingredients and quantity. Typical types include skin-friendly “simple hot springs,” highly heat-retaining and moisturizing “chloride springs,” and skin-beautifying “bicarbonate springs” and “sulfur springs.” These springs vary greatly in efficacy and texture.
